But the romantic getaway turns into a tragedy when they're attacked by a masked man with an ax. Emma is saved by a hunter who is himself killed. For the police, David is the prime suspect, with all the evidence pointing to him: his refusal to cooperate, his unexplained absence when the events happened, the testimony of a neighbour, his wife’s fortune...
