A sinister object appears to be connected to the unexplained death of Victor Carron, a timber merchant found lifeless in a remote chapel—where a similar sculpture was also discovered. As Meyer and Constance delve deeper into the investigation, strange incidents and inexplicable phenomena begin to multiply. Hacking or curse? The threat is closing in on Meyer, but Kat, a mystical- looking sculptor, may hold the key to this case where technology and occult forces intertwine.
