Prétextat Tach, a Nobel Prize winning author who has been living in seclusion for several years, terminally ill with a mysterious cancer, is found murdered. During the investigation, the police uncover some disturbing facts about the writer’s past. But is that enough to suspect Nina, a young journalist and the last person to have seen Prétextat Tach alive? The young woman has extensively studied the Nobel laureate’s life, particularly his first love affair with a woman named Léopoldine, all traces of whom have disappeared. Blending criminal investigation, psychological manipulation, and a confrontation between a literary giant and a determined young journalist intent on uncovering his secrets, the film builds a distinctive atmosphere that is at once noir, literary, and deeply unsettling.

La police découvre au cours de l'enquête de bien drôles de choses sur le passé de l'écrivain. Est-ce pour autant suffisant pour soupçonner Nina, jeune journaliste et dernière personne à avoir vu Prétextat Tach vivant ? La jeune femme a longuement étudié la vie du prix Nobel et plus particulièrement son premier amour avec une certaine Léopoldine, dont toute trace a disparu. Entre enquête criminelle, manipulation mentale et confrontation entre un monstre sacré de la littérature et une jeune journaliste déterminée à percer ses secrets, le film développe une atmosphère singulière, à la fois policière, littéraire et dérangeante.
