Emmanuelle Sainte-Rose is a determined, inventive and generous young woman. These qualities make her an outstanding mentor at “Tchimbé Red”, an association dedicated to helping teenagers who have dropped out of school. A former dropout herself, Emma knows how to restore hope to the young people in her care, far beyond academics.
But her greatest challenge begins with the arrival of Gaëlle, a self-destructive teenage girl with pyromaniac tendencies. Because this defiant teenager is none other than the baby Emma abandoned fifteen years earlier, when she was only 17. Will Emma manage to save Gaëlle without being consumed by the guilt of her past?
Emmanuelle Sainte-Rose est une jeune femme pugnace, inventive et généreuse. Ces qualités font d’elle une excellente encadrante au sein de « Tchimbé Red », une association qui aide des adolescents en décrochage scolaire. Ancienne décrocheuse elle-même, Emma sait redonner espoir aux jeunes qu’on lui confie, bien au-delà du cadre scolaire.
Mais son plus grand défi commence avec l’arrivée de Gaëlle, une adolescente autodestructrice et pyromane. Car cette jeune fille insolente n’est autre que le bébé qu’Emma a abandonné quinze ans plus tôt, alors qu’elle n’avait que 17 ans. Emma parviendra-t-elle à sauver Gaëlle sans être rattrapée par la culpabilité de son passé ?
